Le Jandin, Palazzo Versace, Main Beach, Gold Coast

September 18, 2015

Coming to Palazzo Versace always brightens you up, either by the ambience or just by having high tea or even having tea or coffee. We decided to enjoy a cuppa or two and nibble at Le Jandin, which is the cafe you would see right in front of you as soon as you enter Palazzo.

Whilst some of us enjoyed coffees, I ordered a pot of tea ($4.5) which they have a wide variety of including English Breakfast, Stockholm, Peppermint, Oolong, Sencha Green and much more. I like having a pot of tea to myself, that way I am able to refill my tea as much and as frequent or make it the way I like it.
For nibbles, we were going to get their high tea or just share some cakes but when we saw that there were Sweets and Desserts in their Dessert Cabinet, we decided to choose a few and share it amongst those who wanted a nibble or two. I am unsure of the prices but the person at the counter told us to choose a specific amount and was given a price after that.. As you can see, we did pick quite a few various types of desserts to share sorting out from a candied apple, cheesecake, ice cream shaped cream waffle cone etc.
Some were quite hard to bite through, having to have a whole mouthful of the desserts. Some were too sweet, some tasted quite bland. But overall, unfortunately maybe it would have been better to have ordered and had their High Tea because it wasn't delicious overall but was just quite petitely cute and fun to have a taste of.
For those who has never been to Palazzo Versace or dined here, I suggest you should visit here even just to have a look around.
