Oishii Sushi Bar, Sunnybank Hills, Brisbane

February 04, 2017

A simple lunch at Oishii always can brighten up someone's day, the only downside is its location. For northsiders, sometimes you can be a bit lazy to drive down but since we were in the area, we thought it would be a good idea for us to dine here for lunch. Not ordering too much, at least enough to fill the tummy was what we wanted.

'Red Dragon' (AUD$12) was an avocado filled roll topped with fillets of Tasmanian salmon seasoned with black sesame seeds and mayonnaise. A refreshing dish with the fresh salmon and the mayonnaise. No crunchy texture in this at all but being able to have a simple filling allows you to truly enjoy the Tassie salmon. 'Black Dragon' (AUD$15) was an egg and cucumber filled roll topped with a fillet of Unagi aka. Eel seasoned with white sesame seeds and teriyaki sauce. For thos who loves Eel, do definitely order this as the eel when you put it into your mouth it will just somehow melt. The egg and cucumber filling however balances the warm BBQ eel by being refreshing and give you that soft and cruchy texture as well.
