Cha Kee - Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane

The good thing with asian restaurants is that they open till late. The bad thing is that they could still have a queue at midnight.

Hokkien Fried Rice is always a goodie and a traditional fried rice dish that always has flavours in just one plate. A mixture of bbq pork, prawn, egg and spring onions/shallots, it's quite simple. Well, yes, you could just easily cook it at home.

But sometimes you just feel the need to have some oily fried rice in one our cheat days.

Char Kway Teow is another noodle dish we always... like seriously, always order. Hence why we end up comparing one place to another in terms of its taste or colour or amount of meat and element. They can be a bit inconsistent in terms of this dish, sometimes it can be quite a lot in one plate, sometimes it can be slightly less brown-ish colour aka not as much soy sauce and sometimes, it can be oilier than other times.

But still a good dish.
