MIZU Platter
Received a recommendation from someone of this Japanese restaurant down in Teneriffe, not far from the Brisbane River.. Went here for dinner one night, and it was quite busy and got busier as the time got later... I have heard that their breakfast here were basically like traditional Japanese breakfast, maybe some fusionised westernly... Though a little restaurant that doesn't look like much, located under an apartment or so, many has said that this restaurant is definitely a have-to-go for Japanese food..

Though a little restaurant that doesn't look like much, located under an apartment or so, many has said that this restaurant is definitely a have-to-go for Japanese food.. And from what I know, this Japanese restaurant is owned and run by Japanese, and not like the other Japanese restaurants located around Brisbane owned by non-Japanese... The waiters were also Japanese..
Counter
Took awhile to decide on what to order, with the appetizers, entrees, salads, mains and sushi/sashimi... All food on the menu were very Japanese... Appetizers included the pickles, young soy beans and others.. The entree had dumplings, chicken karaage, wagyu tataki, agedashi tofu, takoyaki etc..The mains consisted of Tonkatsu, Chicken Teriyaki, Seafood Tempura, Salmon Teriyaki, Tuna Steaks and much more... I won't go into much details with the rest of the menu, as on their website, they do have their menu uploaded...
Chicken Karaage
Took awhile to decide on what to eat, but decided to eat their sushi/sashimi... For entree though, we ordered the Chicken Karaage, a Japanese fried chicken with soy, ginger, garlic and a hint of sesame oil...
MIZU Platter
For the main, we shared the MIZU platter between two... It had a combination of sashimi (Salmon, Tuna, Kingfish), nigiri sushi and sushi roll on a Japanese platter... It was a good combination, however I thought that maybe they could've had a more variety other than the usual Californian Roll (Prawn, avocado, cucumber and tobiko)..
Californian Roll
The sashimi had a thick cut, but in a way, I think it could've been cut abit thinner than how it was...
Salmon, Tuna and Kingfish Sashimi
The nigiri were normal nigiris with the sashimi cuts on top of the rice...
Nigiri
I think overall, it was okay... Just normal, but was not special or anything out of the ordinary... However I think it would've been a better choice if we had ordered their actual mains.. So maybe next time, I would probably come here again and try their mains.. As for the sushi, I would prefer it somewhere else..
