Sydney Fish Market - Pyrmont, Sydney

10:51:00 PM

If you're a seafood fan and lover, then going to the Sydney Fish Market is a must when you're down here. But bear in mind the queues, the waiting, the crowd, the shouting, the no available tables which can be such a poop. We tend to get the same thing when we come here and we don't get bored of it, but then if I was to eat a whole plate full every day, then maybe I'll pass.. just too much. But, never too much sashimi.

'Seafood Platter' consisted of different kinds of seafood, mostly fried. BBQ baby octopus, oyster kilpatrick, oyster mornay, grilled scallops, battered prawns, fish pieces and seafood sticks. The grilled scallops sometimes may differ in terms of size as previously, it seemed to be bigger than what we got this time. The chips was just normal, but the battered prawns and fish pieces were fresh and the batter was not as oily as I thought it would be.

Different types of oyster styles were served amongst the pile of fried seafood, grilled octopus and squid were also in it. The calamari rings were thick and had a thin crumb around it. Overall, it was definitely a good mix of seafood for those who just want a bit of everything, or just lazy to choose and mix yourself.

Freshly sliced salmon sashimi is a must, with or without soy sauce, with or without wasabi on the side. Could've gotten more but since we were already getting the fried seafood, we thought we should leave some tummy space for coffee and desserts afterwards. But the salmon sashimi was fresh and nothing to fault.

By the time we were ready to get up off from our table, I saw these.. maybe next time when we're back here, I'll give some of these a go.
